Summer's here! That means that the fine folk from Groennfell will be hitting the road and popping up all over the fine state of Vermont.
Drinking with us at the Mead Hall is awesome, but sometimes you just need to get a pint of mead while staring at some cows, a mountainside, or while listening to excellent live music... So, here's a smattering of our upcoming events: Friday, June 30th : Tasting at Sweet Clover Market Saturday, July 1st : Tasting at Winooski Beverage and Havoc Bike Ride at Sunny Hollow Friday, July 7th : Tasting in Jamaica, VT Saturday, July 8th : Grafton Food Festival Sunday, July 16th : Vermont Cheesemakers Festival Friday-Sunday, July 21st-23rd : VT Mountain Bike Festival Saturday, July 22nd : Tasting at City Market Friday-Saturday, July 28th-29th : Stowe Brewers Festival And that's just the next four weeks! So, come have a pint with us somewhere different! In which Ricky the Meadmaker answers questions about adding fruit to mead, temperature for fermentation, what he means by secondary fermentation, and shares a PSA from a viewer. She's here! Viking Baby is here, and she has a real name that's all her own!
This is Nora, and she is the newest member of the Groennfell staff! Her current roles include import/export logistics, public policy statements, "strategic branding," supply chain management, and environmental impact assessments. I know what you're thinking, "That little girl is only six days old!" But, you'll be amazed to know that she's already reading at an 11-day-old level! If you see her around, please know that Nora's just getting used to her new career, (and also getting used to breathing air), so cut her some slack if there's a bit of delay on follow-up with your transportation logistics proposal; she really is doing her best and will get back to you as soon as possible. That last part also goes for her parents who are getting used to their daughter breathing air, so there might be a bit of a delay getting back to you. For now, know that you are in excellent hands with the rest of the staff, and be on the lookout for the shortest member of the team at the next meadery event. It's almost here! Our favorite event of the year!
The Vermont Renaissance Faire is June 24th and 25th which means that it's just over a week away! We're SO excited because this year we'll be pouring even more mead, and we'll have some of our famous Scandinavian Fare available in the Mead Garden! You can get your tickets here, as if you haven't already. |
BlogGroennfell Meadery is Vermont’s premier craft meadery. Inspired by Old Norse legends, brewed with extraordinary ingredients, Groennfell’s meads are unlike anything you’ve had before. Crisp, clean, and astoundingly drinkable, the only way to explain any one of Groennfell’s meads is to try one yourself.
