This is our last week as a full restaurant! But, thanks to substantial delays from the government shutdown, we're going to be open as a tasting room for at least another month!!!
Our new hours, starting the week of February 4, 2019, will be Fridays 4-9 and Saturdays 12-8. We'll still have a small menu and plenty of mead on draft! In which Ricky the Meadmaker answers questions about bottle conditioning with honey, aging on oak, how the cost of honey relates to the quality of mead, fermenting in re-used gallon jugs, and more! After five amazing years in Colchester, we're going to be moving the meadery. The Mead Hall has been so important to so many people over the years that we're throwing one last hoorah and pulling out all the stops. Ricky and Kelly will be opening their private stock of early Groennfell releases, there will be all-you-can-eat pork shoulder, a few special guests, and toasts throughout the day to all the amazing people who have made the Mead Hall what it is. As always, the event is free to attend and family friendly! Save the Date:Saturday, February 16, 2019

BlogGroennfell Meadery is Vermont’s premier craft meadery. Inspired by Old Norse legends, brewed with extraordinary ingredients, Groennfell’s meads are unlike anything you’ve had before. Crisp, clean, and astoundingly drinkable, the only way to explain any one of Groennfell’s meads is to try one yourself.
