Some time around the middle of February in Vermont, winter gets old. Real old. But we're here to fix that! Join us for our F!#K Winter Party featuring craft mead from Groennfell Meadery and Havoc Meadery, warm spiced mead, free food, and lots more to keep you warm and stave off late-winter grouchiness.
Friday was Havoc Mead's first tap takeover at the Meadery, and their hot pepper mead, Fire-Drake was a huge hit! We wanted to share some of the highlights of the evening, and don't forget to follow Havoc Mead on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr to find out when you can sample their next product!
In which Ricky the Meadmaker answers questions about the challenges and surprises that come with transitioning from homebrewer to pro-brewer, talks about reusing yeast, shares his favorite contraption, and more!
Ahhhh! It’s so exciting! Havoc Mead’s first Tap Takeover is THIS FRIDAY!
Instead of our normal Firkin Friday, Havoc gets the run of the place.
So, in addition to pouring Groennfell’s normal line-up, Havoc’s going to be sampling one of their new products, Fire-Drake, a mead made with traditional Mexican molé spices.
Check them out on Facebook, Twitter, the Web, and make sure to come in Friday, January 23rd to find out why “Life's more interesting with a little Havoc.”
We're getting ready to share our space with Havoc Mead, and that means Construction Projects!
And construction projects mean dust and reorganizing! Nevertheless, we're still open our normal hours with Firkin Fridays and everything.
Keep checking the blog to learn about the exciting new products and events from the growing Vermont Craft Mead Family, and sorry again about the dust.
So, it turns out that some of you don’t watch YouTube videos which is not only a shame, it also means that you missed all of our exciting news this weekend!
So how are you, our dear bibliophages, going to learn about all the cool, upcoming stuff from Groennfell Meadery?
Fear not! We’re a multimodal education outfit here at Groennfell. Here is a quick synopsis of what Ricky presented with his trademark humor, in his oh-so-dulcet tones:
Groennfell Meadery is one year old this week! As a surprise birthday present, we found out that we are available at over 100 locations here in Vermont. To discover the nearest outpost, check out our Mead Finder.
For those of you who can’t get enough of Ricky the Meadmaker, you need no longer pine or surfeit day by day, he’ll make sure it’s all surfeiting all the time with his new Facebook and Twitter accounts!
Also, we now have Rookie’s Root Beer on tap in addition to their Ginger Beer! And starting this week, all of the Popcorn at Groennfell is going to be from Yolo! Snacks in Middlebury, VT.
While we’re on the subject of Vermont companies, our biggest news is probably that we’re now sharing space with the 802’s newest meadery, Havoc Mead! They also have a Facebook and a Twitter.
We're going to be continuing our collaboration with Lake Champlain International in 2015 by starting a new series of Pint Nights called the Friendly Viking Fund. We'll have lots more about that in the coming weeks.
Last but not least, we’re going to be giving you more information soon about how you can come to the Meadery to get a pre-release sample of our newest year-round brew, Chaos Cyser.
Stay tuned, Meadiacs! We’re just getting started!
In which Ricky the Meadmaker congratulates himself on one year of Ask the Meadmaker videos and makes some other exciting announcements.
Groennfell Meadery is Vermont’s premier craft meadery. Inspired by Old Norse legends, brewed with extraordinary ingredients, Groennfell’s meads are unlike anything you’ve had before. Crisp, clean, and astoundingly drinkable, the only way to explain any one of Groennfell’s meads is to try one yourself.
